"I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times." -Psalm 77:5
Peyton Dixon is a long-time actor and singer, having performed locally and throughout the country. Historically, he has worked as a first-person interpreter throughout Philadelphia, as well as other parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. over the past eight years. In addition to portraying various "invented" characters, he has also portrayed the likes of John Adams, William Paterson, William Franklin, and William Penn. Peyton has, and continues to dutifully research both colonial America and early American Methodist and Anglican faith. Son of Methodist minister Rev. Dale Dixon, Peyton is pleased to have realized this combination of his God-given passions and “following in his father’s footsteps." Testimony Peyton Dixon is flat out excellent as Simon Blessing. In the twenty minutes of his monologue colonial Methodism comes to life. He’s a one man study course in early Methodist history in America. His program is perfect for church anniversary or heritage celebrations, membership, confirmation groups as a touchstone to the legacy of people called Methodist.
